ABOUT NEW ZEALAND

For those struck with the digital design bug, New Zealand is a creative wonderland. It’s home to some of the best film directors (think Peter Jackson) and most acclaimed design and digital effects studios (think Weta Digital and Weta Workshop) on the planet.

A playground for the innovative and the intrepid, students flock here from all over the world for a taste of its affordable top-quality tuition, cultural diversity and natural wonders. Its reputation as one of the safest, greenest and friendliest countries on Earth is well deserved. It’s also growing fast, thanks to numerous global surveys and polls which see New Zealand coming out tops time and time again.

New Zealand’s Ministry of Education also has a guide for international students coming to New Zealand. Although this guide is targeted at Chinese students, it still contains a lot of useful and relevant information for anyone coming to New Zealand for the first time.

Students arriving into Christchurch will glean lots of useful tips at www.askchched.co.nz. While there are plenty of gems for first-time visitors to New Zealand in the Ministry of Education’s guide for international students.
