School Introduction

Established by the Christian Brothers, St Peter’s College has served the Auckland Catholic community since 1939.

St Peter’s College offers a Catholic education to over 1200 boys from Year 7 to Year 13. It is centrally located in Grafton, Auckland with boys travelling to us from all over the city.

St Peter’s College offers a comprehensive academic education where the school’s Catholic and Edmund Rice values are the fabric of the school. The students are expected to take part in the various activities it offers in music, sport, culture and drama.

As a vibrant and diverse community, it enrolls not only the son, but the whole family; something increasingly unique in today’s modern world.

School Curriculum

The College is proud of the outstanding academic performance that has been delivered by students and staff in the past four academic years.

St Peter’s Curriculum is designed to encourage and drive students to achieve to the very highest of their ability. Teaching and Learning in the College is directed to allow these excellent outcomes to occur.

The teaching staff of the College are expert in delivering a multi-layered curriculum and are extremely well versed in guiding students to achieve their full academic potential.

The school runs a dual matriculation pathway: CIE – Cambridge International Education and Exams, and NCEA – National Certificate of Educational Achievement, which is the domestic system.

School Facilities and Locations

St Peter’s College has a modern audio-visual interactive facility, and all classrooms have high-speed Internet access. Students can also take classes in the computer room. The outdoor event venue is beautifully landscaped, and the grassy artificial turf provides a place for students’ sports throughout the year; the natural lawn provides students with sports and play venues in is in spring, summer and autumn. The modern gymnasium protects students’ doing sports from the wind and rain.

It is centrally located in Grafton, Auckland, the Auckland city centre, New Zealand, and it is very close to the Bus station and the train station. So, the traffic is very convenient. The school has its school bus. There is only three minutes’ walk to the new campus of the University of Auckland.
