School Introduction

Chelsea Primary School was established in 1981 in response to the needs of the new subdivision of Chatswood.

Chelsea Primary School gives pupils a rich and wide ranging programme from which they will acquire knowledge, learn skills and develop attitudes which will help their development now and in the future.

The aim of Chelsea Primary School is to foster an environment where each pupil is secure, happy, co-operative and industrious, and the staffs would cater for all individual strengths, weaknesses and differences. Every pupil is encouraged to do their best in whatever they undertake.

The School strive to be an inclusive community and warmly welcome parents and whanau to share the ‘learning journey’ with teachers and students. Developing a strong sense of community and belonging is at the heart of growing partnerships. The School believe that it’s essential that everyone works together to help the children in the school community fly in their lives and learning.

School Curriculum

Chelsea Primary School teaches from the NZ Curriculum. The School provide a broad range of experiences and opportunities to meet the learning needs of learners in:

The School runs a variety of learning support programmes to meet the needs of our learners and where possible enrichment opportunities for identified students.

School Locations

The school is situated in Chatswood on Auckland's North Shore and enjoys a commanding view of Auckland City, the Waitemata Harbour and the Harbour Bridge.
