B.B.P.S. is a high performing school with a very strong vision that is clearly and consistently expressed by staff and students. Bucklands Beach Primary is a feeder school to Macleans College and Bucklands Beach Intermediate, two of the best schools in the country for international student education.

The building blocks of the school’s curriculum are Reading, Writing and Maths. The National Standards results are high and they work constantly on raising them even further. While the school acknowledges that students have different starting points and progress at different rates, their aspirational goal is for all students to meet or exceed the National Standards. They focus on achievement but place a high value on progress as well as effort.

The teachers provide a future focussed curriculum with an emphasis on Science, Technology and Inquiry. They explore significant future-focussed issues such as sustainability, digital citizenship, enterprise and globalisation. They benefit from up to date, evidence-based teaching and learning practices.

Bucklands Beach Primary School is in a picturesque location in the eastern suburbs of Auckland, close to beautiful Musick Point and approximately 40 minutes from the Auckland CBD. The school is surrounded by spectacular views of the Waitemata Harbour and within easy walking distance of several beaches.
