This course prepares students to enter New Zealand or other English speaking universities. Students improve their academic English skills and prepare for IELTS. IELTS are also used for other purposes, such as applying for residence or hunting for jobs locally. Morning classes focus on grammar, vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading and writing, and academic skills needed for learning at college. Afternoon session focuses on the four parts of the IELTS Practice.
Students can prepare for TOEFL or Cambridge exams at UNIQUE. These are internationally recognized English language tests. Through the TOEFL and Cambridge test scores, students can promote their career development in the world. This course is available only in the afternoon. Students are required to take a full-time course and study Academic English in the morning.
This course is suitable for students who want to improve their communication skills. The morning class focuses on grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, reading and writing, and life and work skills in an English environment. The afternoon class focuses on improving the language skills acquired in the morning class through language and vocabulary activities, role-playing and elective courses (e.g. vocational courses).
The courses include Work Skills Development, Customer Service Skills, Business English, English for Nursing, and English for Tourism. The Work Skills Development is suitable for students who plan to work in an English speaking environment. Students can acquire the language ability and confidence needed to effectively use English in the workplace. This course teaches students how to create resume and cover letter, and to develop telephone skills in the workplace.
Teen courses
This course helps young students improve their English ability and self-confidence. The morning course focuses on grammar, vocabulary, oral English, listening, reading and writing skills. Afternoon sessions focus on fluency, pronunciation, communication skills and tasks. Students in this course can transfer to the Preparatory English course in high school.
This course prepares young students for New Zealand high school learning. Students improve their English and develop the academic skills and confidence they need to successfully complete their high school studies. After completing this course, students will be transferred to New Zealand high school.
Students learn English in the morning and take part in organized activities and short trips in the afternoon. Afternoon activities include Mini golf, ice sports and swimming in hot pool, as well as visiting the Sky Tower, the Auckland Zoo and theme parks.
